Passion of Riikka
Frederique’s passion for fashion started at a very young age. Even as a child, she loved to create, as shown in the video where she crafted dresses out of garbage bags, letting her imagination run free. Those early creations, proudly shown to her parents, reflect the same excitement and dedication she brings to her work today.
Her journey continued through extensive training: first in women’s tailoring, then men’s tailoring, and finally a year at jeans school. It was during this final year that she discovered her true calling, designing patterns.
At Riikka, the focus is on helping people become the makers of garments they can truly call their own. Designing patterns is the perfect blend of creativity and precision, and every pattern is crafted with care, attention to detail, and a genuine love for the craft. Riikka’s mission is to empower creativity and offer tools to create unique pieces, standing out in a world dominated by fast fashion.
